Before going to the range I took the mag apart and checked the spring and did a little sanding inside the mag on the polymer side, on the sharp edges of the follower and the top edges of the the mag. Nothing drastic with the mag, but just a little touch up. Took slide off pulled trigger bar etc out of frame held button in hard and tap top of mag lips with plastic hammer to get them out. Left marks on mag notches from steel mag release. I was having similar issues with the Shield Arms Mags. Had two Gen 2 then bought a Gen 3; same issue. I replaced the recoil spring with a tungsten, light spring from Glock Store and so far, no issues after 100 rounds. I’ll follow up after my second trip to the range. ProMag is the only company currently manufacturing aftermarket magazines for the OEM Glock G44 and the ProMag 18- and 25-round magazines could certainly be improved upon.
